Cabin crew at easyJet's Portuguese bases struck for three days, Saturday 1 to Monday 3 April, called by the SNPVAC union after talks on a new company agreement stalled. The union said the crew had lost buying power over three years and were treated worse than colleagues in other countries. Minimum services covered 52 flights. Afterwards the union said 220 of the 276 flights planned had been cancelled, and that only four were flown outside the minimum services, by easyJet managers with pilot licences.
What to do
In an airline crew strike only that airline's flights are affected. Check your booking in the airline's app before leaving for the airport, and keep every email about a cancellation or delay.
If your flight was cancelled or badly delayed, see your EU rights when a strike cancels a flight: a refund or another flight, meals and a hotel, and when compensation is due.
