Metro de Lisboa

The whole Metro de Lisboa network was closed on Thursday 9 April by a 24-hour strike, and reopened at 06:30 on Friday 10 April. The strikers were inspectors and supervisors in traction, the central control room and the power control room. Their union federation, Fectrans, said the company had not honoured agreements signed in 2019 on training and the organisation of work. No minimum services were set. A second strike planned for 14 April was called off after an agreement.

What to do

When the Metro is closed, Carris buses and trams and CP trains still run but are much busier, so allow extra time. Remember that the airport is on the Metro's red line, so plan another way there on a Metro strike day.
